Keep us posted on what the dealer does.

I had the same problem on my CSX but have yet to get it fixed. It is documented so i'm not too worried and not loosing much oil at all.

There is a engine mount bracket on the right side of your engine and the bolt that secures it goes right through the timing chain cover. They use silicone on that bolt at the factory so they probably just have to re-seal it and your good to go.

I have 1600 miles on my K20 and it's in great shape...no leaks or oil comsumption yet.

You've gotta figure that out of 15,000 or more engines a few gaskets will fail.

How low was your oil? How many quarts did it take to bring it back to full? Had the color of the oil darkened at all?

the oil level was below the bottom mark and it was really dark. it looked to be about 2 quarts low

I got an oil leak on my Si. Sucks when I had to take it to the dealer many times in order to get it fixed. They resealed the whole engine because it was leaking all ova the place. I aint luck with my Si. so many troubles.

Are these leaks only on SI models?

My LX sedan, I just had to add about 1/4 quart. Car only has 8000 miles on it.

The oil change was done a few weeks ago and the oil was at a perfect level.

I did not spot any leaks under the car.

My Si had an oil leak the day I got it. I first noticed it at 300 miles.

Unhappy oil leak

At 400 Miles, I took my '07 Civic Coupe EX with Navi in for a similiar problem, it was leaking oil, took it to the dealer and they said it was oil leak from the PCV valve, because the crush washer was not sealing properly. They replaced the washer, and the problem was corrected....

until 1 week later when I noticed another leak. 640 miles, and the dealer says that the timing cover bolt directly under the timing chain tensioner is leaking oil from inside the bolt hole. After 4 and a half hours, and a test drive, he applied Honda bond to the threads of the bolt and reinstalled and torqued the bolt.

Will it leak it again, I hope not, I can't believe this, I've had this car a little over a month, and already so many problems.

Just got a call from the dealership.... They spotted an oil leak near the timing chain. Seems to be a common problem? How has this problem been dealt with for other members?

There has been leaks reported from many different places and I guess they are all common.
What kind of car? How many miles?

My 06 EX Coupe had an oil leak near the timing chain too. The dealer replaced a Sealing Bolt(24mm) and Washer on the engine block(timing chain side). Oil had been leaking onto the Tensioner Belt, so the belt was also replaced at that time. Hope that takes care of that, as my warranty is almost up!

I also had this problem at my first oil change, i took it in at 3500 miles and they told me my timing chain cover was leaking oil. They fixed it under warranty, no problems since then.
