i hope it doesn't leak again , car is only 9months with only 5000miles..... hasn't been driven a whole lot. THis is Unacceptable. The whole reason y i bought a HOnda is because i didn't wanna take it to dealer and fix things... 1st disappointment so far, hopefully nothing goes wrong in the future

had a leak too and took it to the dealer. they said that it was from the oil cooler. do si have oil coolers? i thought thats for turbo cars only. i checked again today and it was leaking on the valve cover gasket.

Bringing back an old thread. My wife has an '08 EX-L with roughly 12k miles on it. Just noticed some drops on the garage floor and thought that perhaps I hadn't tightened something up after the last oil change. Get under the car and noticed that it was leaking from higher up near the pumps/pulleys. Doing a little research on here and it seems that there are issues with the timing chain cover. Going to take it to the dealer next week and will update with the final diagnosis at that time.

As others stated, didn't we get a Honda to avoid these issues? My A3 2.0T has been d@mn near perfect for 40k miles even with VW quality. Ridiculous. But it will be covered under warranty, so I'm not too worried about it. That is unless it's a problem with the block as one guy on here had, and then getting the engine replaced. Yeah, that would suck.

Took the car to the dealer yesterday and they cleaned up the oil, but couldn't pinpoint the leak. They added tracer dye to the oil and want me to bring it back next week so that they can use a blac to figure out where it's coming from. Yay. Update to come next week.
