gas cap problem

ok i kno u guys are prob gonna say search it up becuz there is a million threads about this but this time its different... ok i get the check fuel cap thing and like people say just wait and it will go away.. i wait and then when i start the car the check fuel cap goes away but then my check engine light comes on....soo im like wtf.. so i try n restart the system by unplugging the battery.. it works n i start it up....... no problemm...... about a week laterr.... i get the check fuell cap again...... im hoping that the light doesnt come on again... any solutions? or anyone else have this problem?

do you make sure that when you tighten the cap you do if for at least several clips, i think the manual says you need to do it at least two clicks but give it a couple extra, other than that i dont know what to tell you, you may just have to take it to the dealership.

yea i made sure everytihng is tight n secure.. i notice that the seal on my gas cap is broken... like ive read those break rather easy

I had the same thing happen, the last time i took it in for an oil change they replaced the gas cap because the seal was torn. doesnt take very long at all.
