A TSB number would be great. If it were a recall, I think some of the main auto website would have posted something by now??

hahahaha abs. i was really surprised when my abs engaged during normal driving in my civic. the only time i ever experienced abs in my dad's camery was when it literally slid 5ft b/c of snow, and when i slammed on the brakes to avoid an accident. have honda's always had a 'sensative' abs system or do the toyota abs just suck, lol.

I just drive crazy and I've used the ABS several times. It feels like 2 pieces of sandpaper rubbing against eachother...not so much like typical non ABS brakes. I've never got into an accident due to any brake failure, so I guess it works, but it feels very weird!

The only recall I know of is the one about the wire for the passenger air bag sensor having a chance to get pinched and not work.
I have had no issues with mine but I would like to get it fixed since I have two small kids and someday they will be riding in the passenger front seat.
Now just finding the time to take it there and get a ride to work.

it's not ABS, supposedly there is an issue with something related to the brakes... havent had an issue on my car but i've heard of others who had. You have to press pretty hard to kick in ABS, i've not once had ABS kick in and i'be got on the brakes pretty hard.

I might be having the same thing, earlier my brakes made a very loud and annoying screech sound but i think it was ice or something that got caught in or on the brakes. I dont hear the sound anymore so that was probably it.
