Exclamation Wipers acting weird

Ok it dropped to roughly 28-35 degress lately, and I notice the windshield if very strange.

It would basically wipe more then normal.
In other words... if you press up for quick wipe. It is usually a 'one wipe' instance. However, its been doing it like 7-10 in a room, then stop1

Another thing... it would stop half way or would stop at the very side...
Yea... talk about strange, dangerous in a way and plain annoying.
I have roughly 5k on this 06 civic and bought it around september of 06.

Anyone have this trouble?
Also, I notice a small streak that won't seem to go away, even when I cleaned the wiper blade and the windshield. Ok maybe after cleaning, it seemed to go away but then is there again. Its half way... but the glass feels smooth~ help?

First snowfall here, wiper (driver side) did a similar thing, wipe, streak.. wipe streak... blades are 100% no kinks, nada. Took it into the dealer after a bit, and they tested the blade pressure, it was off. They had to replace the wiper arm. (under warranty, since I bought my 06 civic in August 06, and it was december that this happened) (they did the hydraulic fix too to get rid of that annoying "bump" sound at low speeds over rough road)
Only thing now, the passanger side wiper is actign like the driver side did, time to get that checked out on Tuesday this week)

It's a warranty repair if you did get it in Sept. the tech said he'sseen this happen before, but not this quickly.

Well gee... It could of happened earlier or something... I already went in once for the Honda Bulletin for the low RPM rumble/noise where they changed a belt to the correct size. Now this?

Is there a Bulletin on this for me to print like I did for the previous reason I went in? Would be more of a secure thing or liabilty for me to insure they know what I am talking about and do what is required to get it fixed.

06's are the first of the 8th gen, there are some cars that have little imperfections. Wipers may be one of them. (the 'bump' is another, the loose belt making the rumble is another, the seat clips coming off is another, small little things that eventually surface, all cars have htem, heck my Blazer '95 had tonnes of them, all vehicles have them)
All I did was take it in to my dealer, explained about the streaking, they took in in and the tech did tests, they detrmined it was the wiper arm without enough pressure, they did it under the vehicle warranty. i don't know of any bulletins on this.

What is this hydrulic bump you are referring to. I assume you are not referring to the motor mount?

It's winter here and I have not yet noticed a wiper issue? Does it have to do with temp or precip or both?.

Also, what is this seat clip issue? Does this cause that annoying seat click when someone's in the passenger seat and your start or stop and it moves?

Service Bulletin 06-060, cavitiating motor mount thingy that causes the bump or rattle.

Wiper issue has noting to do with weather, it has to do with the amount of pressure the wiper arm is placing on the wiper blade and not making correct contact to the surface of the windshield.

The upholstery is clipped with plastic clips that can pop off, you'd notice the seat detail (the indents , grooves, valleys, I don't know what you call them) not be as deep as they used to be, or as they should be.

The clicking sound is the seat your passanger is sitting in properly locking. that is a common problem in all vehicles, my Blazer does that, all the other cars I owned did that, just move teh seat, then give it a pull forward and back without having the release handle engaged, and it should fix it, if not, maybe spray the realse handle mechanism with some sort of lubrication to make it work properly (could be too much friction for it to properly engage (disengage) when a person is sitting in it and adjusting it. (the extra weight of any person adds to the amount of friction on the moving parts, and may cause it to stick, when stopping or starting the weight added to the force of the direction will cause it to lock because it's enough force to move the mechanism against the amount of friction)

Thanks, Cr8tive

I await the motor mount to come in for this repair, already by ordered by dealership.

I have to check my seats, they do look a little beat up for only 8000 miles.

Is there a TSB for the seal clicking as my passenger seat does this regularly.

Uhm... great, thanks for changing the whole topic. haha
Its all good but yea... I am taking my car in for checkup on the wiper issue. Hopefully they fix it because the driver is streaking more and more but the glass is fine. I can wipe the part that streaks off and its clean. However, when I use the wipers again, its back and the weird problem is random. It may behave and just leave streaks or it may wipe like 3-7 times when it should be only 1 time... yadda or stop in the middle of the winshield or out!

I suggest you take it in if you still have warrenty.
Use em or lose em, right?

Get a new wiper blade (maybe). Restted mulitplexor (probably the relay) or possibly, even a new one. Don't because it could be a saftey issue later down the road if it occurs again.

Is it a "thud" sound coming from above your tire? I have a "thud sound that occurs when I go over speed bumps straight at low speeds. I only hear it on my passenger side front.

+1 to that! what the hell is that noise?!?!

also im having an issue with my driver side wiper blade. the damn thing will not stay clipped. i tend to pick the blades up off the windshield so they do not freeze to the window. sometimes ill pick them up and the damn blade falls off! what the hell?? good news the car goes in for oil change tomorrow and ill ask then about the blade.

My wiper blade isn't going all the way down again. Realized it this morning when I used it...
I just called honda so I may go in.

Damn it! It should go all the way down like almost every other car. Not half way or 1/4 of the way.

Try some verbs I hear they work. Dont worry, if you use them all up they will make more. I promise.

I assume you meant the motor mount!!

My mount replacement took away the dreaded right front clunk over certain bumps!
