Hey guys, I may know what caused your problem and your Honda dealer is probably not going to want to tell you all about it. I just got a new 08 EX-L coupe with Navi, and I haven't had this problem, but I have a friend with an '06 LX Sedan and he sent me the following email this morning:
There is a design flaw on the Lower Controller Arm of the newly designed 2006, 2007, 2008 Honda Civic. The Lower Controller Arm keeps the car in alignment and the flaw is that the part has no more room left on it for adjustment.
It destroyed all four of my tires and worse, the wheel bearings. Honda replaced all four tires on Tuesday and the wheel bearings. The new Lower Controller Arm has not yet been designed, therefore this is happening again. (It will take a good 25K miles to happen).
Therefore.......... The ****** is being traded in, along with my truck for a new 2008 Chevy Malibu..... car of the year at the Detroit Auto show. ASK YOUR DEALER ABOUT THIS. There has been no recall issued because, #1, it's not an immediate safety issue and #2. there's nothing to replace that part. You may get a bulletin in the mail about this.
Tom
So, I'm calling my dealer this morning to see what they tell me and then I'll get back with you guys on this list.
Later,
Troy
