The cable bushing set from Corsport or SpeedSource will take out alot of the play associated with the stock rubber bushings that the cables use. I was told the cables are non-adjustable.

well i cant engage my reverse gear so i now have no reverse and i think its because when i was installing my shifter cable bushings i broke the pice that holds the wire to that one clamp.

Did you try putting the original parts back on?
I have not yet done the short shifter/bushings swap, so I am not exactly sure what can be done. Sorry

SO you broke the u-clip the holds the cable in place. You will just have to get a new clip from Honda.

ok so it is the plastic cable end itself that the u clip slides over to secure it to the cable stay bracket on the trans. If so. thats a complete cable replacement. Ouch!

^^ try and go to a parts store and get 2 large plastic zip ties.put one over the other in a x cross pattern and tie the cable to the stay bracket.Might be enough to get you by.

Zeuceone,
can you please explain what happened that caused that part to break?
The reason I ask, is because I want to do the SS and bushings mod, but now I am afraid of breaking my car...
Thanks

i bought some pipe to make the cable straight again but it only helps for so long. when i was installing the cable bushings i pull the wire piece to high and it snapped. all i needed to do wash use a screwdriver to remove the old cable bushing.
