Si's in the shop, Bad Pulley?

Whats going on guys, i just had to drop my car off at honda today. I went in last week because i was hearing a ticking/squeeking noise coming from the pulley/belt area. They told me there was a bad pulley and now are replaceing it tomorrow morning. Anyone else have this problem?

The tensioner is well...a tensioner...It keeps tension on your belt...I'm thinking that the tensioner went bad and was too tight...just my thought...

To remove the belt you bull back on the tensioner...maybe that can give you a visual?

Yes, there is also a TSB out on this somewhere - there is a rumbling sound at 1400-1600 rpm. They have to put in a new longer belt and re-route it. My car also is getting the tensioner changed.

ok this is getting rediculous. so the dealer replaced the tensioner pulley and that didnt seem to do the trick. im still hearing the same tin can not lubricated type sound coming from the belt and pullies. i brought it in to honda again, and then they changed the idler pulley. still is making noise. i brought it back for the 3rd time today and they changed the alternator and low and behold after an hour and 30 mins of waiting, the F*****G car is still making the same noise. how can a tech let the car out of the lot and say its fixed if it has the same problem it came in for. they seriously now have no clue what it is, and gave me a loaner car while i while i wait. i want my si, not a crappy 06 altima. lol. from past experiances i keep saying i think they need to change the belt, which they still havent done yet. any suggestions please. btw, how much of a bitch is the whole lemon law?

is it a ticking noise? because the injectors and valves on the civics tend to have loud injectors..at idle I have a ticking noise from that general area...feel free to PM me with any questions...i work part time at a Honda Dealership now

its definetly not the injectors, it sounds like a bad ball berring, or just something needs to be lubricated. and being they replaced the 2 pullies already, i dont know what it could be. the car has 16k miles on it, and i bought it in july of 06. lets hope the dealer has good news for me today. ill keep you guys posted

this is getting to be a huge pain in the ass. so after honda having my car all day, they decided it may be the water pump. i finally picked up my car around 8 oclock tonight with the new water pump installed, and its still making the stupid noise. i just dont get why they wont change the belt, something so easy and simple maybe causing the noise. im gonna call honda tomorrow morning and request that a honda engineer comes out to look at the car. what a day

Like I said in my previous post... this sounds like a case I would pursue because of all the headaches it had caused.
