it looks like there was some damage to the trunk cover, so they may have to replace that too. i'm not sure how much the civic rear glass cost, but windshields cost about $200.

Haha, if only i knew who it was....

I was looking over the reciept and the glass was 550.. I was pretty pissed because i asked them to use OEM glass and they used "OEM Quality" glass... but it looks alright. They had to do some body work to the trunk lid because it was dented, so i believe they had to paint it. The rear deck panel was cracked too, so they had to replace that, as well as new speakers because glass go into them.

Sorry to hear about that... I had a hit and run on my car at my campus . It cost me $500 deductible too, and the cops said that "nothing can be done" because there were "no witnesses". ****** lazy pieces of shit.

Never found anything out, just was happy to get my car back. I did put up a security camera on the corner of my garage though.

Man this kind of Sh*t infuriates me so much!!
Why do so many people blatantly disrespect other peoples property?! I used to attend house parties in college park (UMCP college town) and those drunk bastards would go out some nights and smash peoples' mailboxes and car windows. I tried to persuade them not to but being the only sensible guy in a large group of drunken males doesn't give me much say. GAh such stupidity!!!!!!!

Oh yeah, my question is : is putting up security cameras in places like apartment complexes legal?

Rig the security camera with a motion detector to wake you and have a surprise for them when they come back for a repeat visit (might happen soon now that it's fixed). Also, warn your neighbors that got it, too, if they're cars have been fixed.

My surprise would be a 12 gauge and one of my 45's for backup. You might prefer to just call 9-1-1, but expect a return visit, and pray (for them) that they don't...
