Squeaky Clutch?

I got my Civic Si in November. It has a little under 3,600miles on the car. However, whenever I slowly let go of the clutch, you hear it squeaking like a door that needs oil. I've never smelled my clutch burning, so it can't be needing a change already, can it?

I have the same problem but you must check it because at least for me the sound is coming from the pedal not from the clutch.

I bet that a few drops of a lubricant on the joints of the clutch pedal below the dash, the problem will be solved.

So it's normal then? I shouldn't need another clutch already, right?

apparently it has to do with something getting wet, it hasnt happened to me though. maybe some bushing needs to get wet a few times until it stops doing it?

Mine just started squeaking this past week. It's def the pedal, not the clutch. If it keeps up, i'll lube it.

I can smell the grave this thread just got out of

Noticed that all of these posts have something to do with a squeaky Si clutch pedal while it's been raining out.

Just my opinion on the matter: I don't think it's your clutch at all, but rather the wet rubber of the shoe sole grinding against the now wet rubber studs of the Si pedal. Eh, just my thoughts.

yea, I thought that too, but its not, as it happens barefoot lol. There def is some correlation to the rain which is weird cuz its a sound from the inside i think, but I'm pretty sure that its just the pedal so i really dunno. I wouldn't really have any idea what are safe lubes and where to put them. I don't want to screw anything up.

My RSX-S clutch pedal used to squeak. It was the pushrod that went thru the firewall. Get some silicone spray lubricant and find the point this goes thru. Hit it like hell with this spray lube. Push the clutch in and out several times to work the lube in a bit. Report back ASAP.
