Anyone with a Nighthawk Black Pearl Civic

Hi

I have a 07 sedan Nighthawk black

In direct sunlight, I noticed the bumpers do not have half the pearl and sparkle and the rest of the car...They look like a different shade of black to me.

anyonelse.

you can use a flashlight to check it as well

Its probably because the bumpers are plastic whereas the rest of the car is metal..its jus the way the paint shows up on the two different surfaces...maybe...

more than likely the parts were painted seperately then assembled at the assembly plant

I have noticed this in a lot of cars from different make, toyota, GM, etc. also with the same problem. I think it is because the more environmentally friendly paint they are using does create problems for different types of surfaces.

Yes, on many cars this is the case. On corollas the hood roof doors and trunk are painted in freemont, ca. and the bumpers are painted in canada, and their is a noticable difference on white and black cars.

I dont notice a difference in the pearl paint on my nightcock 06 coupe though

I don't have the link on the top of my head, but there was a thread on this.

Apparently, many Civic's bumpers are mismatched color wise...

Mine look fine, but our Pilot looks like crap. The bumpers are a creamier white than the rest of the vehicle.

The only difference in paint i have on my car is the gas door which doesnt have as much blue or pearl under the black paint. 3rd day of ownership i foundout at a gas station my gas door doesnt open so I took it too the dealership and they tryed to pry it open with a wrench and they bent it in half. retards. They got me a new one and had it repainted but its like 90% the same paint, you cant tell unless its in direct light
