Frozen windows!

So it's -10 degrees outside this morning, and my windows are frozen.
They wont roll down. If there was freezing rain, then I would understand,
but there was nothing on the window.

Did this happen to anyone else?
(Yes, I do live in canada :) )

DO NOT use hot water. the extreme temperature difference could cause the glass to crack.

It's -10. Why in the world are you rolling your windows down? Walk into the McDonald's and grab your McMuffin and OJ. That'll help burn the 1000 calories you get from the food.

You're common sense is uncalled for and has no place here. Nice try.

Darn it, my common sense suggestion got shot down. IF IT DOESN'T ROLL DOWN USE BRUTE FORCE! BREAK IT! Don't let a frozen window stop you from rolling it down! You're the guy that owns the car! You own the window! Break it at will!

Haha :)
I have to use my parking pass to open the gate to my parking area, thats why i have to roll down the window.

I had to open my door, unbuckle my seat beat to use my pass this morning.
Just wondering if this is a common problem. My old impreza had no problems rolling down the window at even -30 degrees.

On a more serious note, I don't think anyone has reported this as a problem. It's strange, especially since you say it didn't rain or anything before. Hopefully this was just a fluke.

There's a lot of factors that cause them not to roll down.

I haven't had them get stuck yet, but I'm dreading that day, because on my other two cars, the power windows moved SO slow...

As someone else practically mentioned, its best to just drive the car and let it be warmed up for quite a while before attempting.

I came out one morning to find mine frozen. It wasn't really that cold, either.

However, I do live very close to a river, and there's always a ton of moisture in the air overnight. Frost/Dew/Fog are heavier, so maybe that contributed to it? They were fine later that afternoon once the weather warmed up.

All it takes is a tiny bit of condensation to freeze on the Gears of Windows and that will prevent them from sliding.

Awesome! Is this a common problem in Virginia?

Why didn't you just say that to begin with instead of belittling people? =|
