'07 Si Tranny 4th gear

I've been having trouble shifting my Si into fourth, third is also hard to shift into. I can shift it in, but it takes a good amount of force, I almost had to shift 2 handed into 4th this afternoon. The wierd part was it seemed to get worse as the engine warmed up

First is a little tough until I'm near a stop, but I think thats normal, the other stuff isn't.

I used to have a lot of grinding issues with 3rd also, but it hasen't been as bad lately.

My dad says its my fault . I have absolutly no problem shifting his s2000, even at the redline, so I doubt it is my fault.

I have been saving money for some detailing stuff, but it looks like its going to the tranny

The car is 2 #&*%in weeks old and is 120% stock

bring it to the dealer and have them fix it.

Screw the dealership. I changed my tranny fluid to Amsoil's synthetic synchromesh 5w-30 and ALL SHIFTING problems went away. All of them.

With exception to hard shifting from 1st to 2nd, the odd time 2nd grinds but not as bad now with Amsoils MTF.

Try dealership. If miracously they "cannot reproduce the problem" then AMSOIL BABY.

I haven't heard about anyone with a fourth gear problem, just second and third. I'd take it to the dealership first so if you change the MTF and then take it in, they can't blame it on that.

I went for a drive over the mountain today, and I had the 4th gear problem right at the end again.

It only seems to happen at random intervals. Part of it might be that I have a different shift angle, and might be pulling slightly toward 2nd while pulling into 4th. If it was that though I think I'd be having problems all the time.

Tranny still sucks in the cold too, but I expect that

Yeah, I would definitely get that checked out at the dealership. I have problems shifting into 2nd and 3rd but have never had a problem shifting into 4th. Of course, you're probably gonna have the stealership tell you that there is nothing wrong with the transmission at all since they could not replicate it. At least that's what they did with me when I took my car in for service (could not replicate 2nd/3rd gear grind and claimed that subwoofer rattle is normal when listening to music at high volumes, in my case I guess that's a volume setting of 5).

I'll probally try calling this weekend, the dealership I go to has been really good about repairs. They replaced the s2000's A/C unit even though they couldn't replicate the problem, it took them a week though, good thing its not a DD.

btw, A/C on the s2k still sucks
