Drivers side window problems

This started a couple of weeks ago with no warning....

The driver side window on my 06 EX sedan has started to jam on auto up (close). The window closes normally (on auto up) until it reaches about 3/4 closed. The window then seems to "stick" at the front corner, causing it to tilt in the track (gap appears on the back side of the window) and stop.

I check for obstructions in the visible area of the track, there are none. The window doesn't seem to have any more play in it than the passenger side does. My initial thought was that it jumped off track. I did try to lube the track from above with a shot of silicone spray, which fixed it for about a day. I cleaned the edge of the window, to rule out something sticky on the glass causing it to stop in the track.

At this point I am ready to take it in for service, however, the dang thing started to work fine today. Although you can hear it strain slightly (like it is stuck) when you lower the window (it didn't do this before the problems).

Anyone here had an issue like this? I was playing with the idea of taking off the interior panel to have a look at the track, but am still leaning towards making this a dealer problem. Just thought I would ask here before I wasted an entire day at the dealership.

Since it seems to work today, I would suspect that there is either...

1. something in the track causing an obstruction
2. something loose in the track/window assembly that causes an intermittent failure.

I've had the same problem. It seems to only happen on hot days, so my first guess is the rubber gets hot and makes it harder to go up and then retracts thinking there is an obstruction. But there seems to be too much play on the window so I might take it in to get it looked at.

it could be the motor as well. did you look at the condition of the teeth on the track? they can wear down over time, especially if you're moving your window while on the freeway.

Car has 6k on it, could it had worn that fast? Its getting worse now, it looks like its catching the interior window seal. I'm definively taking it in now.

I had that prob with my 07 FA5. I called the dealer about it and they ordered new window tracks and replaced them 2 days later no questions asked.

Dealer says its the actuator, and the track got worn off because the window was going off track. Covered under warranty
