Naw, don't care about rep points. The points don't do anything for me. I can't redeem them for anything, so why have it, lmao.

don't forget there are currently four different types of "i-VTEC" for Honda cars...one for the SOHC 4-cyl (like the R18), one for DOHC 4-cyls (like the K20 or even the K23 Turbo), one for the SOHC 4-cyl and 6-cyl engines with IMA, and one for SOHC 6-cyls like on the Odyssey (which is really only VC). I'm sure we'll see another version once we get to the DOHC V6s...

Also, its anyone's guess what the name the next gen of VTEC engines will have (featuring Advanced VTEC) that will debut in the next 3 years. As for bikes, they already have Hyper VTEC and will get VCM.

What about the one in the k20a3 where only 12 valves are open below some certain rpm. That's another kind also I think.

its really just a sub-type. I'm sure over time, each major type of i-VTEC will have a subtype for efficiency or for performance. But, its the basic premise of what the i-VTEC does...for DOHC 4-cyl engines, it does the same...VTEC+VTC for intake/exhaust.
