R18 Oil Change

i went to pepboys and asked the guy what kind of oil my r18 takes and he told me 10w-30. so i bought mobil 1 oil at 10w-30 and changed my oil. then i looked in the manual and it said 10w-20. should i change my oil again or is this fine? my car pulls alot harder and feels alot healther now with mobil 1:)

I hear it really makes no different, and don't worrie about it, you will not hurt your engine by using 30 instead of 20.

I would imagine for fuel mileage sake, and the tighter piston-wall clearance that Honda wants us to run 5W-20 as specify on your oil cap. If you redline it all the time, then going 10W-30 "should" be okay. Just don't expect to achieve the same fuel efficiency as you would with 5W weight.

You'll be ok with either one!! +1 rep for changing your own oil.

You listened to someone that worked at Pepboys? And they were wrong. Honestly, it says what weight to use on your oil cap and in your owners manual. Even if you used 10W-30 synthetic I still think your engine will have an "easier" time reving with 5W-20 synthetic or not. Its all mental. you want to believe that it runs better. Probably a little smoother cause its a thicker oil which provides a thicker film of oil between metal parts.
