i sure do, i hear rattles everywhere, i took my 06 civic ex to honda and they found a rattle around the subwoofer, they took it apart and put insulation in. that rattle is gone but now there are rattles in the passenger door and creaking sounds... can't wait til winter is over!

I agree.. that’s the only fix to avoid hearing those rattles on cold weather.. turning up the volume up .. 12+ .. i went to honda dealer last week coz they have the 07 tw si.. the sales manager ask me if i could stop by at noon.. told him ill do it first thing in the morning (when the weather is cold) .. and sure enough i noticed the same rattles as my 06 ex coupe..

hi, I just got my new civic last sunday, so far from everyone says here the rattle sounds are normal in cold weather, mine is by the glove compartment i think, my friend says it sounds like little bits of sand being tossed at the body paint. just wondering if thats normal for all the new civics. its currently winter here, 30 degrees i hope thats it.
thanks for any info regarding this JP |

I found out what rattles in my 07 ex. When I position the fan dial all the way to OFF position, it still rattles while it is in panel or panel and feet mode. However, if I put the fan in feet only mode, the rattle is gone, at least the major one. So I guess, fans still work even though you turn them off.
My TL had similar problem, the rattle was louder, but that was a 10 year old car! |

I found several rattles from wires, cables and even the rear trunk drain tube. I removed the side trunk panels and used wire ties to lock everything to the metal frame that was loose. If you tie up the drain tube, make sure it's still locked into the end tube so the water doesn't fill up your trunk! I also used several pieces of adhesive felt where wires were forced to come into contact with metal, like around the upper section of the trunk near the subwoofer. For the plastic squeaks and rattles, I used graphite (powder) where the plastic meets plastic. The stuff is odorless and lasts a very long time.
