it slides onto the back of the battery tray. It is not bolted to anything but this does keep it from moving around. Just pick it up and turn it around and you will see there is a cutout on the back where it slides on the the bracket right behind it. I'll try and post a picture when I get home.

To put it back the easy way, you need to remove the battery and you will then see the part twistedframe is talking about. I just had my tank out yesterday. It clips into the front side of the battery tray. Basically you just slide it into the bracket.
