Well.. first off.. that sucks what happened.. and second.. I dont think the HFP extends that far up.. I could be wrong though.. I'd just get it repainted a little bit I guess.. Good luck on the repairs.. Hope everything goes well

I think painting will cost alot for what you get.

If I were you, buff out the top part real good, then use some touch up paint (any white honda color) for some protection to the deep scratches. After that, get JUST the rear lip to cover up the deep scratches.

i'm guessing that would cost around $200-300 to repair I dont think the lip kit goes up that high to cover it

rubbing compound would get all the black stuff out

then u might consider getting re painted and what not....

it might not be bad once u use a rubbing compount on it

Rubbing compound won't get that out. The entire bumper needs to be removed and painted. It should cost a couple hundred. It wouldn'd be worth trying to claim in on your insurance because of your deductable.

is it black paint from the other car on the bumper, or is the bumper actually gouged - as in black from your bumper is showing through.

if it is paint from the other car - rubbing compound will most likely take it all off. If that's your own bumper showing through - that really does suck.

this guy had one of the best scratch repair posts I've ever seen and now his images are down at the moment of typing this. I see it's been bumped a few times for them to be posted again. I'd check in with it if you're willing to do some diy work.

it just looks like the other car's rubber got on your bumper. try some bug&dirt remover and see if that'll get it out. I used that stuff to get the adhesive from the Civic emblem off.
