2007 Civic Noises - Please help.

Hi- I hear some rattling noises in my Civic 2007. The problem is, it does not happen all the time. ;( I'm pretty sure that is comes from the somewhere near the back seats. It is a clear audible rattle when it happens. Anyone else have that problem?
Also, when I turn on the music system, I hear some kind of a mild vibration from the driver side door? Not sure? Is it from the door glass? Any one with any ideas?
When I back up my vehicle, when I turn either left or right, I hear some mechanical noise when I turn the steering wheel. This noise is heard only when I begin to turn.
Also, I hear a loud transmission noise when I change from R->D. Is this normal too..

Enough of the list ;(

Thanks.

I used to have rattles but i fixed them myself. Screw going to the stealership. What i did is rolled up several paper towels and stuffed them into the holes in the trunk. You have to push up and have loud bass music playing so you can feel where the rattle is then stuff the towels in. It is much better then before i have zero rattles now. hope that helps.

ok, what mileage u have right now?

i have rattles/squeaks at the rear since i bought the car. my car went in for 4 times at the dealership, replaced this and that but didn't solve the problem. the last thing i heard from the service advisor was that the rattle/squeak is natural to newer civics so they can't fix it.

i just let it go and after 3k miles all the rattles/squeaks are gone. now i'm a happy camper, no more noises...

just stay put and let 3k miles pass and if u still have it by then, that's the time to go back to the dealership.

oh, mine is just 1000 miles old. The rattles are sometimes so irritating.
And Any clues why I get those transmission noises when I change from Reverse to Drive nd start moving?
And, regarding the suspension, I'm hardly a heavyweight But still when I still down hard or fast on the driver seat, I hear the suspension making a noise.. ??

I had my car in the dealership 2 times for that rattle in the back. They figured out that it was a loose clip somewhere at the top interior area of the rear window. They got it good to go in the back......unfortunately now I have a light rattle in the front windshield....not as annoying, but next service I'm going to let em know.....hope that helps

Mine has some rattling noise somewhere around the glove compartment. It drives me crazy everytime it rattles. I thought it was the stuff that I put there that was making the noises, so I once drove around after removing everything and the rattling persisted.

There's sometimes rattling near the windshield as well. It doesn't happen as much though.

My driver side door buzzes and rattles a lot, finally tracked it down to the door handle. I just pulled out the handle a bit when it was buzzing and it went away. If it gets bad I will probably get some rubber with a sticky back and put a small piece to keep it seperated. NOt sure if this is where your driver side door rattle is, but take a look.

that may not be the suspension, it could be the seat frame. I had a faulty one that creaked everytime I sat down or got out of it. Bring it to the dealer for that problem and maybe show them the R-->D problem. Although you may get a "normal characteristic" verdict, it's still worth it in cased of something wrong.

About the rattles, the dealer probaby isn't going to do anything about it, at least nothing that will last.

Regarding the rattle from the rear seat, you may want to check to make sure all of the clips are in correctly on the speaker deck. I know mine was rattling so I hit it a couple time and heard the clips go in, now I'm rattle free! (at least from the rear...)

good luck!

my only noise problem was when i hit a bump, i'd hear squieling noise. brought it to the dealership and they said it was the "sun roof drain" which wasn't secure. then the noise was gone. but it should b under warrentee so just bring it to the dealer.

Which clips are you talking about? Can you access them from the trunk?

I have another rattle that sounds like it is coming from the steering column. At first, I thought it was my key chain, but it still does it if I take all the keys off.

You access them from the back seat. It's the rear tray with the 3rd brake light on it, above the speakers
