Weird Noise when starting car today.

Normal start: "VA VA VA VROOOM!"
Weird start: "VA VA VA CLUNK CLUNK VROOOM!" (The clunks lasted about 2 second together)

What the heck is that clunk? I have a AUTO LX Sedan. This was at 3:30 in the afternoon but it was pretty cold... 35 degrees maybe.

another question.... sometimes it takes 3-5 seconds to get the car started. Did i hold the key to long? How long should i hold the key turned before i let go and try again?

I suck at reproducing sounds on the keyboard.

I guess so. The clunks caused it to take longer to start up

i've never heard the clunk sound, but when i first got the car, it took awhile to crank. Now although still slower than other cars, it starts with no probs.
