Exclamation People who bought or leased a Honda or Acura could get benefits from a class action

I copied this from some where. I figured it would be important to you all.
I know this thread should not belong here but for people to notice this I am including it here.

Cars included are 02-06 Honda/Acuras and the 07 Fit bought between 4/13/02-11/7/06

This is the content that i received:
http://www.odosettlementinfo.com/Vau...d%20Notice.pdf

Here is the urls to get more details and forms:
http://www.odosettlementinfo.com/
http://www.hondaodometerclassaction.com/

If the class action succeeds you either did nothing and got a 5% mileage extension of your warranty or lease agreement or you can submit a claim for mileage charges on your lease or repair fees that would have been covered by a 5% extension of your warranty period (ie before 37,800 if you had a 36k mi warrenty).

Just check whether u guys have any issues and if u have claims to add to this suit.

Does this affect gas mileage or odometer reading?

At first I thought Gas mileage, but now I am thinking it is the odometer.

The odometers say you have driven more miles than you actually have. Therefore, your warranty would expire early than it should.

So they are adding 5% to warranties. I.E., add 500 miles per 10,000 miles.

Wow...this kind of pisses me off...

Maybe buying an import wasn't the right idea. Where is this legendary "Honda" quality that everyone keeps referencing?

Sure my Firebird and Grand Am didn't have as good of fitment or performance, but the odometer's at least tracked correctly...

This is kind of a big deal, no?

Slightly off topic, but the overall build quality of my 96 accord is better than my 06 civic. This civic has rattles all over, everything scratches easily, misaligned body panels inside and out, crappy dbw system, mediocre gas mileage. Still lots a good points, but i'd just like to note those.

dude ur comparing an accord to a civic.. Apples and bananas, my friends 99 BMW has all the shit standard back in the day as my civic does now, maybe i should bitch too? Accords always went for luxury, and civic was the economic choice, why wouldnt they have a better build?

My friends 94 civic has the same build quality as my 96 accord.. no rattles, high quality paint, high quality scratch free exterior and interior, body panels all aligned flawlessly but this 06 civic doesn't?? I'm comparing build quality, not options and features.

+1 ftw

you cant compare a 30k car (Accord) with a Civic (22k)
this is apples, bananas, kiwis and oranges....

my sister inlaw bought a 2006 Accord fully loaded and
its a much different build/quality then my 06 Civic.
Now i only got the DX-G but it aint to far off on quality
then the Si (exception of differnet engine, trans, etc...)

dont get me wrong i love my civic yo'
but for quality....06 Accord hands down!

1st year of a new design too, so in buying it we should have known there would be bugs.
