back pressure (popping sound)
i have the neuspeed catback on my si and from day one i noticed that popping sound, i think its backpressure, i am not sure someone correct me,
any way its been getting slightly louder and i would assume that getting a race header and therefore removing the cat would make that pop sound even louder, anyone with a race header and a high flow exhaust notice this, could you maybe try to post a video or a sound clip. thanks |

noise seems the norm with bigger exhausts, i've got the skunk2, i'm starting to get what sounds almost like a backfire, real faint though, everytime i downshift also anytime i left off the gas during high rpms, i get the popping sound, it's nice, yeah |

I run a custom catback with a race worthy 5zigen fireball muffler..(not really a muffler...just a straight pipe). I pop all day log...people at on eof the meets heard it...espacially at low rpm. Cruz at 15...let off the gas...pop pooop pop...then the burbly noise. Its not bad. just fuel. In thoery with high comp and straight pipe you will let out a fireball.
