Angry Check engine light on.......AGAIN.*UPDATED with results*

So I've had my car for a year now. The check engine light came on this evening. This will be the 2nd time it came on this year. The first time was the o2 sensor way back in April.

So this is to all who have had their o2 sensor replaced. Has the check engine light come on and it turned out to be the o2 sensor again?

Cause if it's the sensor AGAIN. I'm gonna be pissed. Going twice to have something fixed on my car is two times to many already. Doing it for the same damn thing is just freakin ridiculous. Such a damn hassle. So, I will go to my dealership tomorrow to schedule an appointment for a code scan for hopefully Saturday. After that, schedule another appointment to get whatever needs fixing. And I just know there gonna be all booked up cause of the holiday season. JEEZ.

*UPDATE*
So, I dropped off my car at the dealership today at lunch and picked it up after work. They tell me that my ECU needed an update so that's why the check engine light went on.

So I was like "ok whatever", it sounded a little suspicious but nothing is wrong, so thats good.

So I'm on my way home all relieved and everything. I get about 4 blocks away from dealership and the goddamn check engine light comes on again.
I turn around and head back to the dealership. They get the same technician to take it in again to see what the hell is going on. He checks everything, pulls out, light comes on again. He takes it back in to reset it, on the way out the light turns on again.

They found out that everytime the gas pedal is let go, the check engine light comes on.
I am now left with a mystery car, that cant figure it out.
So, I am booked in to drop it off AGAIN tomorrow and sacrifice my lunch break AGAIN tomorrow.

Needless to say I am not a happy honda camper right now.
It's frustrating, it's pissing me off, and worst of all, it's starting to make me regret buying a Honda.

No modification of any kinds whatsoever. It's as stock as the day I picked it up.

This might not really be helpful, but I'd be hella pissed off as well.

For the CEL to come on twice in a row usually means something bad. Not good news.

Might as well use the warranty. That's what it's there for.

there are usually more...

than one O2 sensor on most modern cars. The 2004 Merc Sable V-6 has six (6) so if it codes for O2 sensor again it may not be the same one but to have two, or even one, go on a newish car is unusual because in my experience they seem to last over 100,000 miles.

Read your ECU. It should throw some codes.

Most modern cars have more than one 02 sensor, some have 2 or 3 or 4? I am not sure how many your car has and most times, it's hard for the mechanic to know which is bad.

There's always the Lemon Law if your state has one and if they can't fix itafter X ammount of attempts. No reason you should be stuck going back and forth to the dealer on a new car.
