Power Steering Noise

I took my car to Honda to get my SRS recall fixed and had them check out a couple of things while i was there. One of which was a rubbing noise that i noticed whenever i turned the steering wheel. They said that it was the power steering pump making that noise and that it was normal. Do any of you guys hear that noise, i just want to make sure so that if the pump is jacked i get a new one.

A search revealed this old post. Recently since a week, my power steering also has been making a creaking sort of sound, especially when parking / sharp slow turns. Anything further? Has your noise sorted itself out? I checked the fluid level and it is ok.

yea me too!! i hear it mostly from the left front side of the car when the windows are down and i'm doing a slow turn of the wheel.. i thought it was something in the joint or suspension. Gonna get honda to check it for sure when i go in for my 10k oil change soon.
