5w-50 Engine Oil
Well its time for my oil change, and i've been considering what kind of oil to get this time.
First of all, the climate is much warmer here compared to the states, so keep that in mind. And my engine is K20 non-si. I've asked around and I've seen people use anything between 5w-30 to 5w-50. I know you guys use 5w-30 with the Si's, but alot of mechanics here have said that it's too thin for our climate, and that it will start dying around 3-4000km. Anyways i got a bottle of AGIP 5w-50, better heat protection, good for high RPM's. But it seems you guys are running fine on 5w-30 so i'm a bit afraid its going to be too thick?? I havn't changed it yet, so i'm thinking if I should run 5w-30 instead. Any suggestions? |
