annoying wiper sounds anyone?

I've noticed that when I use my wipers in the rain (and here in Vancouver this past month we've had a LOT OF IT) the left one makes this freakin' annoying "wwah" sound when it goes up. It becomes more noticeable the more I use it and it's starting to drive me nutz when my music is low. Anyone else out there notice this as well?

I have it as well and I think I have an idea where it is. I don't think it is the actual blade against the window, but down in the area where the motor is. The odd thing is if it is not wet down in there then I don't here the sound, but once water gets there I hear it again.

I heard it after a month of having the car.

Sometimes it's "wwaaah" and other times it's "wwwrrrrrhhraaaah." My left wiper stopped doing that but now my right started. Eeesh.

I had the same sound, but I was waxing the car and had some overspray from my wax on the front windsheild, and it doesn't make that sound any more. Isn't that wierd.

I've only got 1500km's on my car and I've had it for less than a month. I am taking it to the dealership next week to get a scratch fixed that they gave me on delivery. I will tell them to fix it

Actually, yes, I have- about a couple of weeks after I got the car, I had my first rainy day, and there was nothing unusual about the wiper sounds until the rain became lighter. I had the wiper settings on the longest intervals, and it still made an annoyingly loud squelch as it wiped across the windshield. Obviously enough, it cannot be due to shot wiper blades, sering as it was the first time I ever used them. Anyway, I haven't given it much thought since it hasn't rained much at all since that time, but I'll be keeping an eye on it.

Sounds like your windows need a little lube...try putting rainex on..that will allow the wipers to wipe smoother.

it doesn't sound like it's coming from the actual wiping of the blade across the window. It sounds like it's coming from the base of the wiper, i don't know if it's a spring that creaks when it's stretched but that's what it sounds like.
