Exclamation K&N Typhoon defect... for the 2006 Si

If someone have installed the K&N 69-1012TP,

please tell me if the hose in step 12 of the installation instruction was as shown in the picture?

because mine was too narrow too tall and was not cut at the right angle.
bushing # 084038 item "n"

i had to return the kit ...

its been 2 months now and the supplyer said that the 5 kit they had have the defect...

where did you bought yours?

I cut mine to fit, once the tube is fit inside of the bushing it fits snugly.

i am wondering... is it secured enought so it is not popping out of place ???
like mine did...

have you checked your installation after a couples of miles ???

is it water tight ???

i am still waiting for the replacement...

K&N contacted me about this and said it will not affect how the K&N performs nor would it suck in unfiltered air. The hose from the engine fits nice and snug into the bushing thus expanding it to fit the intake.
