Remote Key

Hi, I have this problem since last week. I have a Black Sedan LX Canadian version. Last week, when i press the remote key to open the doors, it only opens the driver's seat door. No matter how many times I press it, it just opens the driver's seat door. Before, when I press the unlock twice, all the doors will be open. Does anyone how to fix this?

Try replacing the battery in the key or using your other key. If results don't change, contact the dealer.

the battery shouldnt be the issue, if you can get the drivers door to unlock then the battery is fine. sounds like a trip to honda is in order.

My 2006 SI started doing this as well. Let us know how it goes, I guess I'll take mine in as well. Anyone have a TSB for this?

foot_long's car did this too (06 ASM EX coupe 5MT). we went to Vancouver Honda and they fixed it by replacing the driver's side power door lock motor.

Weird. It works if I press the 'unlock' button on the driver's door: it will unlock both driver and passenger door. Ditto for the passenger's door 'unlock' button, it works fine. But from the remote, I can only unlock the driver's side door.

I'll mention that fix when I bring it in, though.

shungo can you tell me if there's anything funny with your interior or dash lighting? Mine flashes on and off when I first open the driver's side door. Sounds like I have gremlins

Lots of Vancouver residents in this thread. Anyone think it might be related to all the rain we just had? Maybe it's shorting something out.

Going to try Happy Honda, on Hastings in Burnaby. I went to them for the reflash and was pretty happy with the service, plus they are closer than Carter. =]

edit: do you have covered parking? Mine's been out in the rain this whole time.

Awesome, this is exactly it. Thanks!

But, how to prevent it from happening over and over in this very very wet city?

i made an appointment at Happy honda today, you need to bring in your car first to have them check so they can order parts. I was thinking of getting a side door visor, so no water can get thru when i open the window during rain.

I suppose it's possible that the replacement part has been engineered to be more robust than the factory part as well..
