Parts are in ,I have an appointment for 12/6/06 to get it done.

I just found out I have the same issue! I can lift the wipers off the windshield and I still hear the grinding sound. The faster the wipers the louder the sound.

Did they fix it without making something else worse?

Just had it done last week but it hasn't rained yet .Took about 2.5 hrs to fix .Warrantee bill was $358.29 .It didn't make noise when using the washer mode so here's to hoping thats the end of it.
