Question Squeaking from front end, is this serious?

I get what sounds like metal against metal squeaking from the front-left corner of the car..

It's really loud when i start driving the car when's it's cold, goes away after some of driving, then comes back whenever i hit an imperfection in the road..

What could this be? i would take it to the dealer, but it's far away and i have no time whatsoever before saturday..

thanks for any help.

I am sure that's not it, it's more like loud squeaking than *popping* and i only had this after 2 years of owning the car and it doesn't include the 07 sedan..thanks for the heads up though!

anyone else?

Hey man - I had this exact same issue. Squeaking noise from the front left wheel area. I had no idea what it could be. It was most persistent when the car was cold. And every time I drove over a speed bump you could hear it squeak.

However, I replaced my OEM springs this weekend and low and behold - the noise is completely gone. I used the Eibach Pro Kit - and I DID NOT have to trim the front bump stops.

Not sure if it was a rock caught some where (as someone else proposed) or if the rubber pieces around the strut needed cleaning. All I really know if the sound is gone for now ;-)

Hope this helps.
