Vtec

I have an '08 Si. Normally when th VTEC kicks in around 6 grand or so, the tone gets deeper and louder... Obviously. Within the last couple of days, I noticed that the sound barely changes at all, although I guess it feels like the VTEC is working. I have bounced it off the limiter a few times, but I don't beat on it. The car only has 30k miles on it. Could I have blown something or worn out a rocker? Would resetting the ECU help? Thanks in advance.

Check the oil level, or maybe it's time for an oil change. But my guess is your ears got used to it.

What was the engine temp when you noticed this? In bars. Also, like said above, check your oil level.

The oil was changed at the dealership when I bought it two weeks ago. It's been about 8 bars when I glanced down. I am guessing I am just used to the sound now but wanted a second opinion. Thanks.
