HELP! Dip Stick reading/oil change 4.6qts

08 Si sedan. Made the change to Amsoil 5w30. I put in exactly 4.6qts using a measuring cup on the money. I started the car and drove it for a short while. I let the car sit while I ate dinner. Checked the dip stick and its dead on the money at the lower dot on the dip stick...

Manual says if oil level is near or below the lower mark add oil...But I just put in exactly 4.6 qts....and it doesn't say where the oil level should be. PLEASE ADVISE

I know this...This isn't my first rodeo, but thanks for the tip. I did drive the car to circulate the oil and fill up the filter before I checked it.

Even with 5 qts it's still not to the top fill dot

I have 2500 miles on my current oil change. I just checked the oil and the motor has not burned any oil. My SI only has 7000 miles on it though.

when i made the switch to synthetic oil i saw that it burns quicker than regular oil. i usually have to add a quart or so between changes aswell

I've been wondering this as well.
When I went to pour my Mobil 1, I used 5 quarts.
After I poured it in, I read my dipstick and it was only to the first hole, the one farthest away from the handle.

So, I added almost half another bottle and that got me to the second hole, the one closest to the handle.

I thought I did something wrong since in the manual it says, use 4.6 quarts but I used 5.XX
