Is this normal?

On my 07 Si, with a K&N Typhoon, is it normal to have at a certain level of accelerating to have an abnormal intake sound, but goes away when more gas is used? (of course I'm not talking WOT or such - just cruising speeds)

Basically it is there only at certain loads & rpms. I'm going to double check again my connections.

I would say it's normal. The engine produces different sounds at different rpm. You can prolly just hear it more now.

I get a hizzing noise at lower rpm's when I hit the gas. I guess its due to the direct flow of air and being a metal pipe instead of a plastic peice. Injen CAI

Question you have the K&N 69-1012TP ?

If you have installed the K&N 69-1012TP,

please tell me if the hose in step 12 of the installation instruction was as shown in the picture?

because mine was too narrow too tall and was not cut at the right angle.
bushing # 084038 item "n"

i had to return the kit ...

its been 2 months now and the supplyer said that the 5 kit they had have the defect...
