Honda good......Chevy bad

I was just surfing and noticed this little article on CNN.

Looks like Honda once again is leading the pack on small car reliability ratings. And look at that....Cobalt gets a big fat 1st place...IN UNRELIABILITY!

Kinda interesting who leads in each of the categories of vehicles. It never seems to change year to year very much.

Honda FTW!!

Poor V-dub...

made the least reliable list:
Small car - Jetta 5 cyl. (#3)
Family car - Passat (#1)
Midsize SUV - Touareg (#5)

Like the commercial says... V-dubs rock!

I have nothing wrong with the Cobalt.

I think it's a nice little car.

im not surprised, GM's build quality is definately questionable. You should see the miles of TSB's out for the cobalt and the rest of the cars on the Delta platform. Its insane.

I really feel like the interior of the Cobalt is more solid (and scratch resistant) than our Civics.

Flame me if you want, I really think so, even if the plastic "quality" (if it can even have that) isn't as high.

if something bad happens to the interior, it can easily be spotted and replaced/fixed.

i think this takes more into account the engine/body of the vehicles.

I'm suprised the non-hybrid Civic didn't make top 5.

I don't know who exactly did those reliability ratings but I looked at the bottom of the list under the pickup truck category. Who would possibly put the Subaru Baja in the pickup category???? I guess there wasn't anywhere else to put it.

Perhaps GM is quicker to issue TSB's than Honda? My '06 Civic (the first one before Honda replaced it) was horrible with NUMEROUS problems. The second one has some of the same problems like the motor mount issue, and bad struts. In my opinion Honda is really slow when it comes to issueing TSB's.

Amen to the above two posters.

When I owned the last two GM cars I had, I got TSB's and Recalls in the mail long before I even heard about them in the forums.

TSBs, even. If it weren't for these boards, I wouldn't even know that the DBW fix reflash or the notchy third gear were actually TSBs, because Honda doesn't say squat.

It's easy to claim you've got great reliability when you never issue any TSBs or Recalls, hey?

Honda wont send TSB's in the mail to its customers. You will only get recall notices that apply to your vehicle. TSB's arent meant to be read by customers as it explains the complaint and how to fix it IF the customer has the problem. It also explains how Honda wants the complaint fixed.

BTW, believing everything on this or other message boards is a bad idea.
