Side Mirror Replacement

Has anyone replaced their outside side mirror?
As I was backing up a few days ago I clipped a tree and tore the left sidemirror right off the car. I ordered a new one and was wondering how difficult it would be to replace, such as screws or having to remove the entire door. haha.
