My ex coupe does the same thing. I had them going this morning cause of the rain. It must be the way the timer is set up with the int setting. It clicks as the wipers are about to do a sweep of the windshield and clicks again I believe when the wipers come back down.

Actually it's the rubber piece shifting back and forth, leaning one way on the way down and flipping when going back up. If they made a harder rubber it might not do it, but also would make as good of contact. I have heard the click from a hyundia wiper that is the motor, but this is definatly not the case here.
