Remote Range
Just out of curiosity, what kind of range do most of you get out of your remote?
With a fresh battery, I MIGHT get around 30-40 feet. Just seems kind of wimpy, considering my wife's neon remote will function from our neighbor's house. |

Yes, if you hold the keys up to your temple (touching) while activating, it effectively doubles your range (yes, seriously, try it). Various theories as to why; my theory is that your eyeballs actually act as lenses for the RF signal, and it allows for a tighter more focused beam which travels farther.
I haven't actually tested if it works when you're turned around though, so I'll have to do that this weekend. If it does, then that one is busted. |
