Remote Range

Just out of curiosity, what kind of range do most of you get out of your remote?

With a fresh battery, I MIGHT get around 30-40 feet. Just seems kind of wimpy, considering my wife's neon remote will function from our neighbor's house.

hold the remote under your chin when you activate, you will gain range.

I only get about 25-30ft.

My em2 had a range of about 150ft.

I guess they figure Si owners aren't going to forget to lock their cars as often as EX owners.

Yes, if you hold the keys up to your temple (touching) while activating, it effectively doubles your range (yes, seriously, try it). Various theories as to why; my theory is that your eyeballs actually act as lenses for the RF signal, and it allows for a tighter more focused beam which travels farther.

I haven't actually tested if it works when you're turned around though, so I'll have to do that this weekend. If it does, then that one is busted.
