07 Si Coupe already needs new starter?!

So my car has been hesitant to start lately. And as of this morning there is no engagement of the starter on the flywheel it just spins.

New starter going in the morning, however Im kinda PO'd. Like seriously this car is 3 years old and already needs a new starter?

Is it just me?

How many times/day on average do you start it?

07LX at first it started slowly w/ no noise.
Then it turned into a mettalic-like spinning.
Engine almost wanted to turn over but wouldn't except for occasion.
Then it just was like something was spinning but no gears catching.

Hopefully when I install the rebuilt one it will be fine.

well that's solenoid. But that should be integral. So re-replace your starter with one that works.

My 07FA5 is doing the same thing... terrible scratchy sound (not a grind) with no crank. But, it will usually start with no problem on the next try. I was thinking of changing the starter too.

HondaIsKing, can you update me/us with your issue? Is the car starting properly now, or are you just living with it?
