popping noise from suspension

Whenever I turn my wheel al the way to the left or right, i hear a loud popping sound coming from the suspension. I heard the noise before i was involved in an accident. i asked the repair shop what they thought it was and he thinks its a cv joint. I'm still under warranty so u think it really could be the cv joint?

I had something similar to this where it only popped when i would turn it all the way right or left either stopped or at very low speeds. I took it in for warranty work and they fixed it. They said the rack and pinion was slightly loose so they tighten it and it hasn't popped since

yeah theres even a DIY on this problem, its because from the factory those bolts werent torqued to spec so all you need to do is loosen them up and tighten down criss cross ways or however you say it lol and then torque them to spec
