ABS light on/off randomly

The last week or so my abs light has come on when i am driving and its random, sometimes it comes on right when i turn the car on and sometimes it comes on when i have been driving 15 or 20 miles but every time i shut the car off and turn it back on the light is off.

Any ideas on this? i was told it could be a wheel speed sensor but i wouldn't know which wheel it would be? The abs still seems to work too.

VSA Indicator and ABS

this might help ya out ... search for "abs" in the mechanical problem threads n c if nething else pops up for ya that is related to what you have been experiencing ... could b that "abs sensor" that thread is talking about

i was just reading through the service manual for the abs system and it also states to check the connections on the abs system as a quick troubleshooting solution, making sure nothing came loose

My vsa light went on and off....and it was a bad tale light.....when a light is out in the tale light it will turn on the vsa on the dash.....hope that helps
