Also, one thing to mention at least for my install and possibly others here is the radiator hose is very close to the CAI throttle sleeve.... I cut a beer cozy and wrapped it around the radiator hose to reduce heat soak in this area...

Sure thing... Here you go... Not much for looks, but effective.. I'm gonna replace this red one for a black one when I can find one to blend more with the OEM parts... This has helped me with heat soak in this area as both the radiator hose and the intake do touch and transfer heat even with the matarial used by Injen..

Oh yeah, one more question regarding hydro stalling---

Is rain an issue, or do those water sleeves prevent that from happening? I.e., is this a highly avoided mod for wetter climates (not front-hood-dipping-in-two-foot puddles and streams or anything, just severe rain)?

I just went through that NorEaster last weekend and as long as you don't drive in lakes, you'll be fine. I've driven in severe downpours and no problems. When I removed my bumper I could see water spots on the filter from the salt splashing but there were very few which tells me that not much at all gets in there with the amount of water I drove thru. I'm also dropped 1.5 inches
