Passenger seat "clicking" with passenger seated

Does anyone have a clicking noise coming from the passenger seat when there is a passenger sitting in it? I first noticed it on rough roads, but now it is all the time. I have an 06 with aobut 4k miles on it. I also noticed it on my neighbors 07 with just 700 miles on it. (Yeah, he totally posed off me, even got the same color, now wants to know the name of my tinter...)

Clicking sound, anyone?

Were you adjusting the seat beforehand? Sometimes if you don't actually lock it in place it'll slide into one of the grooves itself, making a clicking noise.

Happens to me all the time when peeps mess with the passenger seat.

It is adjusted in an locked into place. It just happens when the passenger bounces up and down in the seat. Something else for the dealership to look at and tell me they could not re-create...
atruhondagrl, was there a fix?
Thanks

I don't know. That was a while back. I haven't had enough passengers in my car so I haven't noticed it in mine yet either. You may have to take one of the service guys for a ride in it.

Check the airbag sensors under the seat. There is a wire that runs along this metal plate going across the underside of the seat. The wire ends in a plug that I assume is related to the sensor that tells the airbags to turn on/off depending on the weight of the passenger. At any rate, my plug/wire deal was clicking against that metal plate and had to be bent a little to stop it.

i think it's your right rear strut. they are all acting funny. mine was making a ticking noise. very slightly, but it went away after a i think 2 k miles.

It is definitely not the rear strut. Even back seat passengers (yeah, back seat passengers!) said they can hear it from the passenger seat.
I will check the airbag sensor wire...
Thanks
