Good idea posting pics on how to hang your gas cap. This has to be one of my favorite posts of all time. It is so obvious but yet so many people didn't realize this.

Hahahaha, I was letting the gas cap dangle up until I read this. I felt so accomplished when I filled up this last time, and I put the gas cap in the right place. I was always worried I'd wear away the paint where I was letting the cap hang.

The gas cap holder does not hold my gas cap either. On my 1989, 1990. and 2001 Honda the gas cap holders work fine.

This has to be one of the most unique threads anywhere, EVER. Great info, what a neat trick! And to an earlier poster, I read the owner's manual cover to cover, but I don't remember it talking about this anywhere in there.

[quote=8thgenuser]There's been lots of people asking where the gas cap goes when you fill up at the gas station. I'm going to put an end to all the questions right here. :)

Thanks man, I was coming out of the stripclub and went to go get some gas and just left it dangling there, I'm talking about my gas cap, not Mr. happy.

Huh, I'll admit I didn't notice that. I guess thats what happens when you live in Jersey and gas stations are full service and i only pump my gas when I go into PA.

I mentioned to one of your fellow New Jerseyans that he should print the first post of this thread, laminate it and hand it to the station attendant every time he fills up. It was originally meant as a bit of a joke but now it seems like it might be a good idea.

Strange, must've never noticed. Hell, I'm use to just letting it hang and gassing the sucker up, cap it, and go.

wow i just filled my car up for the first time today and it seemed pretty apparent it really is a lot easier to hang than when i was fueling up the corolla that holder was strange.
