You have gas attendents???

I haven't seen one of them in about 35 years! Do they check your oil too, or would you be brave enough to let them?

Drive Safe,
Steve R.

PS: To those who didn't notice this before, don't feel bad, it's not as obvious, or as secure, on the Civic as it seems to be on other Honda's. It seems like they changed it compared the other models I've got experience with?

Gotta love Jersey! We don't have to pump our own gas!

Didn't know about New Jersey. I've heard about this in Oregon but honestly, I've ridden down Hwy 101 from Astoria to California about three times in the past 10 to 15 years and I only remember one (1) gas station insisting on filling my vehicle. I was on a motorcycle at the time. I absolutely refused to let them and they didn't argue. They insisted on turning the pump on and off but I performed the actual fill up. None of the others I stopped at even brought it up?

I guess it's what you're used to. At this point, I don't "want" some stranger touching my car, even if it is only filling the gas tank! :)

I've been in both situations. I lived in New Hampshire for 6 years where I had to pump by own gas and I've lived in Jersey where people do it for you and honestly I have no preference.....except for the winter time when it's super cold out...someone else could definitely stand outside all they want in the freezing cold to pump my gas cause I'm not!

I stickied this thread right when I made the first post because I've seen members complain about how they thought there wasn't a holder. The sticky was meant to put the issue to rest for those who where still wondering where the holder was. Perhaps it would be nice to have a stickied index of fixes to problems (similar to the DIY index) and unsticky this thread to keep from potentially overcrowding this forum with lots of stickies of random fixes.

Also, comments that suggest that people are dumb are not appreciated, so please stop it. This thread is meant to help people, not make them feel bad about themselves. I'm not solely pointing the finger at any one member...there were others who have posted similar comments. I know your intentions were not to make people feel bad, but you'll never know who might take it the wrong way.

I can certainly understand the cold issues. I probably wouldn't mind that either but here in Texas, it's not normally a problem! If it ever is, it only lasts a couple of days! :)

Hey this gas cap thing was actaully pretty tricky! i mean its this slit inside that panel that looks like its meant for something else, like its made like that for a structural purpose, really shoulda labelled it. I mean hey if you need to label that Coffee is hot, i think they should label where to put your gas cap.

Finally the gas cap will no longer dangle! It was definitely not obvious to me. On my dad's car there was a white plastic piece that stuck out to put the cap on.

If you have Navi that thing is like the bible. Can't do anything without the Navi manual!
