Clutch make squeaky sound from outside

Hello everyone, this is probably another newbie question. But tonight as I was driving with my windows down, I heard a squeaky noise as I let the clutch slip to get into first gear. So basically, the sound is heard from outside when the clutch is being slip!! Inside everything is normal. Does anyone know wat this mean? Is it normal? Am I riding the clutch? I also tried to start accelerating uphill and had to hold the clutch in slip position, I also heard the awful squeaky noise from the outside.

Sounds like you might be riding the clutch. What do you mean by "clutch is being slip"
and "clutch in slip position"? Are you revving it high when you have the clutch engauged?

I have the same problem. Just started to happen about a week ago.
Usually makes that sound when I start the car from a stand still in first. I also feel the clutch peddle vibrate with the sound. And usually happens when I first start the car in the morning or I've parked the car for a while. It goes away after driving it for say 30min or so.

Might call up the dealer and ask them about it
oh and i've owned my civic ex for 6months now with about 10,000 km on it

I have the same problem with my Si, although I don't get any feedback to the pedal. I actually think that it might be the "dog-bone" motor mount bracket squeaking. I will try putting some lube on the mount to see if the noise goes away.

Same problem here with the Si, under the same general conditions everyone above me seemed to describe- the best way I could describe this is a much more mild version of the sound produced by a bad alternator. Anyway, I actually first noticed this when I engaged into first while leaving one of those parking booths where you pay the attendant upon exiting, so the sound was a little more amplified and it was difficult to ignore, but I was able to replicate it under different conditions. I'm not even too sure as when this problem began, as I may have simply not paid attention to it in the past.

Like icie mentioned, I believe the problem disappears after a decent amount of driving, and is only noticeable when the car is still somewhat cold. Anyway, my car's at the dealership now for an unrelated problem, but I brought the issue up, so they'll look into it- I'll let you know what feedback that provide me with.

taking my car in on Wed to get them to take a look at it.
I just got back from a 11 day trip to NY, so the car has been sitting in the garage. I went to drive it yesterday and the clutch noise and the front suspension clunk noise was gone. Although I didn't drive it for that long but I usually will hear it after a min or so of driving.
