louder exhaust

*i have the greddy evo 2 and aem cai*

ok so a rock rolled of my hill and hit my rear bumber and i took it to a local shop(not the dealership ) to get the scratchs fixed and when i got it back, i assume they washed it with a fukn sponge or somethin because i have a black si and it looks like it has cob webs on it from all the little scratchs. is there anyting i can do about this? also when i picked it up, i started it and noticed the exhaust was louder. i didnt think anything of it so i let it warm up a little bit and drove off. when i was driving my car was about 4x louder than it usually is. no joke it was deafening! after about 20 miles of driving it started to get quieter and eventually went back to how it used to sound. is there any explenation for this? ive heard water sprayed into your exhaust makes it louder but ive done it before and could tell no diffrence. and what i got from this shop was a HUGE diffrence.. anyway i called them and asked the guy who worked on it if he touched the exhaust and he said no. im not really complaining because i loved the extremely loud exhaust but i dont know what they done to my car
