did i kill my civic? :(.. ignition question

A couple days ago I got out of my car and ran into the house to grab something real quick,
as I got back into the car, I guess I forgot that it was already running and turned the key :[
The engine whined and I immediately turned the car off and let it sit for a couple minutes before starting it again.
I'm just wondering if there was any damage worth worrying about or if I'll be fine..

Stupid engine is way too quiet :[

no, if anything you just cranked the starter a second time. worst case scenario... your starter dies in 160,000 miles instead of 160,001.
