so i decided to rub my fingers around that area to check for any leaks and VOILA. got myself a nice smudge of black gunk all around the gasket area.

it was funny how the stealership said that they couldnt find the source of the leak. going to show them these pictures.

i went to the dealership like 10k miles ago and the tech told me that he replaced the head gasket. looks like he made the situation worse.

just reach back and you be able to reach where the gasket is. if you get chunky/black oil on your fingers, call the dealership.

When I took my car in for the third gear fix they called me half way through reinstalling the trans and said my valve cover was leaking and said they would replace the gasket no charge. Haven't had a leak since 3 rd done at 20know have 27500 on it and no more leaks. I wonder if this is a normal problem on si's
