oil cooler coolant leak

anyone else have this problem? im getting a small leak that forces me to refill the overflow every few months. got some time so i might as well fix this problem. its coming from the bottom hose of the oil cooler. the hose has been replaced twice with new clamps and it still leaks. im sure it leaks more during normal operation but i can only notice a small puddle under the car after letting it sit overnight.

Your overflow container could be cracked or you have a small pin hole in one of the rad hoses.

the rad hoses and overflow are fine. my problem is a leak at the oil cooler port. the hose has been changed twice and so have the clamps. but it still leaks.

Interesting. First time I've heard of a coolant leak there. How many miles on your Si?

Did you notice any corrosion or calcification on the oil cooler inlet or outlet pipes when you removed the leaking hose? If so, perhaps the hose is not sealing against the pipe properly. Or, perhaps the oil cooler o-ring is leaking and it's flowing onto the hose when driving. I don't see how the same hose can be the problem after you just replaced it.

Just so everyone knows, the oil cooler is where the oil filter goes (on the Si).
